      everything happens for a reason
sugar crystal, motor, atomic projection clock, wood, thread
      10 x 12 inches

      description of action:

      - a crystal is suspended from the ceiling on a golden thread, forming a pendulum
      - the pendulum itself has no motor and lies inert until it is acted upon
      - a motorized platform that has a dismantled sharper image atomic projection clock
      laying on it sits below
      - the motorized platform rotates slowly, supported by a very thin pin in the
      center
      - the clock is simply laid on top, gravity keeping it in place
      - the platform rotates, parts of the clock strike the pendulum setting it into
      motion
      - when the two bodies collide, both of their movements are disrupted
      - as the move away from each other, each attempts to restore its own harmonic
      motion
      - neither party is winning and both pose an equal amount of danger to the other
      - if left running for an extended amount of time, they will eventually destroy
      each other.
